How do I re-configure my Zyxel Router Setup?

Resetting the Router To Get Back To The Default Configurations

1. In the first
step, you will need to locate the recessed "Reset" button. You can easily find it on the side or on the back panel of your modem. It would appear to be a tiny piece of metal placed under a small hole in the panel. It will be marked "Reset" at its side or bottom.

2. Now, you will need to bend the open end of a paper clip. Do it in such a manner that the end is away from the clip. It should stick out from the clip.

3. Moving ahead with the process, you would have to insert the open end of the paper clip into the hole. This would be located in the back or side panel. You would need to hold it down against the reset button for approximately 10 seconds or until the "SYS" light starts to blink. Continue to repeat the process until the light does not blink.

4. At this stage, you will have to turn the modem off from its primary power switch. It is a crucial step to perform if it has a central "Power" or "SYS" light and the light refuses not to blink even after about 10 seconds or so. Try to turn it on again while keeping the "Reset" button pressed with an open paper clip.

5. It would help if you continued to do it while keeping the Reset button pressed until you see that the "Power" or "SYS" light starts to blink very quickly. This should take you about 20 seconds. Once it happens, then you will have to remove the paperclip from the "Reset" button so that you can release it quickly.

 

6. Finally, you would need to enter the default address provided with your Zyxel router. Type it down onto the address bar of an internet browser of your choice. We recommend you do it on a computer system. This will help you bring up the interface to program your modem with the new settings.
